Lecturer or Senior Lecturer – Business Information Systems

About the role

The University of Queensland Business School is seeking a Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) in Business Information Systems. This full‑time permanent role is based at the St Lucia campus and combines high‑quality teaching with a strong research agenda in areas such as business analytics, data management and information systems design.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including curriculum design and student assessment.
• Lead a research programme, secure external funding, publish in reputable journals and present at leading conferences.
• Supervise Honours, Masters and PhD students and contribute to researcher development.
• Engage with industry partners, mentor junior staff and participate in university committees and service activities.

Required profile

• Completed PhD (or submission) in Business Information Systems or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated teaching excellence at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Developing record of publications in high‑quality refereed journals and leading conferences.
• Evidence of obtaining and managing external research funding.
• Active involvement in internal service and external professional activities.
