Lecturer or Senior Lecturer – Aerospace Engineering

About the role

The School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Adelaide is seeking an outstanding researcher and educator to join its aerospace engineering team. The appointment is a full‑time, continuing position at either Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) level.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and deliver teaching in aerospace engineering topics such as dynamics, modelling, computation, numerical and experimental aerodynamics, and clean‑energy technologies.
• Develop and lead interdisciplinary research programmes in collaboration with scientists, engineers, industry partners and government stakeholders.
• Mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students, supervise research projects and theses.
• Contribute to academic leadership and service within the School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.

Required profile

• Doctorate in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong record of research publications and external grant acquisition.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching at university level.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment.

Required skills

• Expertise in dynamics, computational modelling, numerical and experimental aerodynamics.
• Knowledge of clean‑energy technologies applied to aerospace.
