About the role

La Trobe University’s School of Education is seeking two full‑time Lecturers in Pedagogy and Teacher Practice to help shape the future of teacher education across Australia. The role involves developing curriculum, delivering high‑quality teaching, and conducting scholarly work that influences national education policy.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver innovative, evidence‑based curriculum for teacher education programmes.
• Lead scholarly research and professional activities that advance pedagogy and teacher practice at a national level.
• Collaborate with school and sector leaders to strengthen course and disciplinary partnerships.
• Provide leadership in applying learning‑science research to improve teaching outcomes.

Required profile

• Completion of a PhD or equivalent recognised accreditation in a relevant discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in pedagogy, teacher practice and evidence‑based curriculum development.
• Proven ability to engage with education industry leaders for collaborative research and course development.
