Lecturer – Community Services (Sydney)

About the role

Acknowledge Education is seeking experienced community services professionals to join its Sydney academic team as Lecturers. You will deliver engaging, student‑centred learning for the Bachelor of Community Services, helping students bridge theory and real‑world practice.

Key responsibilities

• Teach lectures and tutorials for the Bachelor of Community Services program.
• Mark assessments, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate student records.
• Support at‑risk students and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
• Integrate practical examples to connect academic theory with industry practice.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for teaching quality.

Required profile

• Postgraduate qualification in Social Work, Community Services, Psychology, Counselling or a closely related field.
• At least two years full‑time experience in the community services sector.
• Strong understanding of community services theory and practice.
• Confidence presenting, teaching or facilitating groups.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Genuine interest in supporting students and developing future professionals.
