Lead Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant

About the role

KINNECT, an Australian-owned workplace rehabilitation and occupational health company founded in 1996, is looking for a Lead Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant to join its team in Townsville, Queensland. The role balances leadership duties such as mentoring consultants, quality assurance and account management with hands-on case management, and suits a career-minded consultant with at least two years' experience.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor junior consultants, sharing expertise, best practice and clinical insight.
• Review case strategy and documentation against best practice and regulatory standards, and train others to close gaps.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and work with the Regional Manager on account growth and contract negotiations.
• Manage your own caseload: conduct assessments, develop personalised rehabilitation plans and monitor client progress.

Required profile

• Current registration with AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC or RCAA is essential.
• Minimum of two years' experience in workplace rehabilitation or claims management; Queensland scheme experience (WorkCover Queensland and NIISQ) is highly regarded, and support is offered to move between schemes.
• Proficiency in assessments, rehabilitation planning and evidence-based interventions.
• Excellent communication skills, sound judgment and a client-centred approach.
• Able to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Current driver's licence, as travel to client sites is required.
