Lead Software Engineer

About the role

Karbon is seeking a technical leader for its Client Experience team. You will own both the big‑picture vision and hands‑on implementation, driving feature delivery across web, mobile, and backend services while ensuring a seamless user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Ship new features and iteratively improve existing web, mobile, and .NET Core backend systems.
• Make architectural decisions that balance rapid delivery with long‑term scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate early with product managers and designers to shape problems, challenge assumptions, and define solutions.
• Own the technical backlog, prioritize initiatives, and communicate trade‑offs to stakeholders.
• Define and maintain observability standards, including dashboards, alerts, and SLOs.
• Apply AI tools responsibly to accelerate development while retaining human oversight.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and coaching to foster a collaborative culture.

Required profile

• Proven technical leadership experience delivering new features and maintaining complex systems.
• Deep expertise in modern React development and strong front‑end craftsmanship.
• Comfortable contributing to .NET Core backend services and influencing mobile architecture.
• Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of problems, and provide clear recommendations.
