Lead Network Engineer (L3) – Senior Technical Lead

About the role

We are seeking an experienced L3 Lead Network Engineer to join a high‑performing engineering team delivering enterprise‑grade networking and cybersecurity solutions. This senior technical leadership position combines solution design, project delivery, customer consulting and Level 3 support, acting as the highest point of escalation within our managed services team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex technical engagements from discovery through implementation, ensuring successful delivery of enterprise networking and security solutions.
• Produce Low‑Level Design (LLD) documentation and detailed technical implementation plans.
• Provide Level 3 support and act as the primary escalation point for network and security issues.
• Mentor and guide engineering team members, fostering engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
• Drive automation initiatives and contribute to process optimisation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of senior engineering experience in an MSP environment.
• Proven track record leading enterprise infrastructure projects from design to implementation.
• Strong customer‑facing consulting experience with ability to lead technical discussions independently.
• Experience producing LLD documentation and managing enterprise networking and security environments.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and work autonomously on multiple priorities.

Required skills

• FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch, FortiAP.
• Enterprise firewall implementation, SASE architecture, SD‑WAN, MPLS, BGP, Layer 2/Layer 3 routing and switching.
• Network segmentation and security best practices.
• Fortinet NSC Level 7 certification (required).
• Cisco CCNP Enterprise or CCNP Security (highly regarded).
• Experience with cloud networking, hybrid infrastructure, and automation/AI‑assisted engineering tools.
• Knowledge of Palo Alto Networks, Netskope, Cisco Meraki, AWS Networking, and Autotask PSA is advantageous.
