About the role
Join Maurice Blackburn’s national Asbestos and Dust team in Sydney, supporting clients affected by occupational diseases. You will work on high‑impact cases, providing compassionate, results‑driven legal advice throughout the compensation journey.
Key responsibilities
- Engage directly with clients to take detailed instructions and build strong relationships.
- Review and interpret complex medical and occupational records.
- Draft clear, thoughtful written communications and high‑quality court documents.
- Prepare briefs and liaise with medical experts and allied health professionals.
- Attend procedural hearings and represent the team in court.
- Collaborate closely with barristers to prepare matters for hearing.
Required profile
- Lawyer with a strong client‑service focus and commitment to social justice.
- At least 1 year of Practical Legal Experience (PAE) preferred.
- Valid practising certificate.
- Prior experience in personal injury or related litigation.
