Laundry Assistant

About the role

St Vincent's Care Yennora (Rosary Village), a 141-bed aged care facility about 29 km from Sydney's CBD, is looking for a Laundry Assistant. You will join an experienced, engaged and dedicated team that helps create a welcoming, professional and supportive care experience for residents. This is a full-time permanent position with shifts Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties promptly and efficiently so that the laundry process for residents is quick and follows laundry guidelines.
• Monitor linen stock to meet residents' needs.
• Identify unserviceable or defective cleaning equipment.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team.

Required profile

• Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check within the last 6 months.
• NDIS clearance is required for this role.
• Understanding of aged care and resident rights and responsibilities.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Previous laundry and housekeeping experience in a health care environment is desirable.
