Labourer / Telehandler Operator

About the role

Gravity Resources is seeking a hands-on Labourer / Telehandler Operator to support a major transmission line construction project in Central Queensland. The role suits someone confident operating a telehandler and willing to help with general labouring and ground support. Local candidates from Gladstone and surrounding communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates, are encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the site team to operate a telehandler to move and position materials.
• Load, unload and organise materials in laydown and work areas.
• Help sort and handle transmission tower steel and construction materials.
• Support site crews with general labouring, housekeeping and ground support.
• Complete equipment pre-start checks and report faults or hazards.
• Follow site safety procedures and take part in daily pre-start meetings.

Required profile

• Experience operating telehandlers in a construction or civil environment is preferred but not essential.
• Relevant telehandler competency evidence and any licences required for the equipment, attachments and duties.
• A current Construction White Card and a current driver's licence.
• Physical capability to do general labouring and manual handling.
• Practical approach to safety, reliability and teamwork.
• Ability to complete the required pre-employment medical, site inductions and competency verification.
• Experience on transmission line, utilities or major infrastructure projects is well regarded.
