Kitchen Steward

About the role

Join the Crowne Plaza Adelaide team as a Kitchen Steward, supporting chefs and ensuring the kitchen operates at the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. You will play a vital part in maintaining a smooth workflow behind the scenes, helping to deliver memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sterilise countertops, walls, stoves, ovens, grills, sinks and cooking equipment.
• Maintain food storage areas, including freezers and refrigerators.
• Receive, organise and store kitchen deliveries.
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks such as cutting, peeling and washing.
• Remove kitchen waste and wash dirty dishes and utensils.

Required profile

• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and strong teamwork skills.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle manual lifting, pushing and pulling of heavy items.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster that includes nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Legal right to work in Australia without restrictions.

Required skills

• Food Safety Certificate.
