About the role

Join the Qantas Lounges team operated by Pullman (Accor) in Canberra Airport as a Kitchen Hand. You will support a high‑volume commercial kitchen, ensuring guests receive fast, friendly service in a clean and safe environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation, plating and service.
• Maintain hygiene standards by cleaning workstations, equipment and dining areas.
• Stock and replenish kitchen supplies, ensuring proper storage.
• Support waste management and recycling procedures.
• Follow health and safety protocols, including food safety regulations.

Required profile

• Ability to work on a 24/7 rotating roster, including early mornings, nights and weekends.
• Australian working rights and ability to obtain a Federal Police Clearance for airport work.
• Previous experience in a high‑volume commercial kitchen environment.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and lift moderate loads.
• Friendly, team‑oriented attitude with a genuine love for hospitality.

Required skills

• Understanding of food and beverage safety requirements.
• Knowledge of hygiene and cleanliness standards in a kitchen setting.
