K-6 Teacher – Fixed-Term (Early Childhood & Primary)

About the role

Leonora District High School is recruiting qualified teachers for Kindergarten to Year 6. The school offers two full‑time, six‑month fixed‑term positions – one in Early Childhood Education and one in Primary teaching – to start as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver curriculum for multi‑age classes across K‑6.
• Implement explicit teaching practices and evidence‑based programmes such as InitialLit, MultiLit and Learning Through Doing.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations and a growth mindset.
• Support students’ social and emotional development.
• Contribute to whole‑school improvement initiatives and cultural integration.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience in diverse, multicultural settings.
• Demonstrated ability to plan for multi‑age groups and use explicit teaching strategies.
• Commitment to Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework and inclusive education.
• Willingness to engage with the local community and support school‑wide programs.

Required skills

• Proficiency with InitialLit.
• Proficiency with MultiLit.
