Junior UX/UI Designer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior UX/UI Designer to join CORTO’s Sydney design team. You will work closely with our Senior UX Designer to create a new legal‑accounting product from scratch and to evolve an existing, well‑loved solution. This role offers the chance to develop polished design patterns within an established design system while gaining exposure to the legal‑tech industry.

Key responsibilities

• Produce wireframes, user flows, prototypes and high‑fidelity UI designs using Figma and Whimsical.
• Apply the company’s design system and Figma component library to build scalable screens.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and other cross‑functional teams to deliver cohesive user experiences.
• Iterate on designs based on user feedback and usability testing.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of professional UX/UI design experience.
• Portfolio that showcases design process, visual skills and end‑to‑end solutions.
• Understanding of wireframing, prototyping, user‑flow thinking and basic usability, accessibility and interaction design principles.
• Curiosity about the legal industry; background in marketing, accounting or law is a plus.
• Ambitious, motivated to grow and eager to receive feedback.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Figma.
• Experience using Whimsical for brainstorming and flow diagrams.
