Junior Team Member (School Aged) – Westfield Chermside

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic school‑aged team members to join our crew at Westfield Chermside. This part‑time position offers a fun, fast‑paced environment where you will learn the basics of food service while delivering the authentic Greek street‑food experience our customers love.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve Greek‑inspired dishes, including yiros and sides.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic work area in line with food‑safety standards.
• Provide friendly, fast, and efficient customer service.
• Learn and apply food‑safety procedures and kitchen operations.
• Handle cash transactions and operate the register accurately.
• Collaborate with a tight‑knit crew to keep shifts productive and enjoyable.

Required profile

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn – no prior experience required.
• Ability to keep up in a fast‑paced, fun environment.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Attention to cleanliness and food‑safety standards.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, school holidays, and after‑school hours.
• Must be under 18 years of age.

Required skills

• Completion of the free “I’m Alert” Food Safety online course.
• Basic cash‑handling and register operation skills.
