Junior Store Assistant – Retail Support Role

About the role

Join ALDI’s award‑winning retail team as a Junior Store Assistant. This casual position offers an entry‑level opportunity to start a career in retail, working in a fast‑paced supermarket environment while supporting customers and store operations.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers and help them locate products on the shop floor with a friendly attitude.
• Maintain clean, organised aisles and ensure shelves are well‑stocked and visually appealing.
• Perform back‑of‑store duties such as unloading deliveries, unpacking stock and replenishing shelves.
• Support the team in daily store tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

Required profile

• Availability to work weekends, after‑school hours (4 pm‑9 pm) and during school holidays.
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn and a strong work ethic.
• Reliability and attention to detail.
• Team‑oriented mindset and willingness to support colleagues.

Required skills

• Customer service orientation.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain store standards.
• Basic numeracy for handling stock counts.
