Junior Solicitor (Townsville)

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Solicitor to join a respected North Queensland multi‑disciplinary law firm. Working closely with experienced Senior Solicitors, you will develop technical legal skills and gain exposure across commercial, family, property and estate law matters.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake legal research and assist with advice on commercial, family and estate law matters.
• Draft correspondence, court documents, contracts, wills and powers of attorney under supervision.
• Support senior lawyers with file management, matter preparation and client communication.
• Attend client meetings, mediations, negotiations, settlements and court appearances as required.
• Liaise professionally with clients, counsel, courts and other stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate file notes, records and time entries in line with firm standards.
• Stay up‑to‑date with relevant legislation, case law and legal practice developments.

Required profile

• Recently admitted or approaching admission as a legal practitioner in Queensland.
• Motivated, resilient early‑career lawyer with a strong work ethic.
• Excellent organisation, attention to detail and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and perform well under pressure.
• Commitment to long‑term career growth within a single firm.
