Junior School French Teacher

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic French Teacher to join our Junior School community, teaching students from Prep to Year 6. The role begins at the start of Term 4 2026 and runs on a full‑time fixed‑term basis until the end of the 2027 school year, offering the chance to inspire young learners and foster a love of French language and culture.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging French lessons across listening, speaking, reading and writing.
• Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and confidence.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to integrate French across the curriculum.
• Participate in school events, cultural activities and professional development sessions.

Required profile

• Qualified French language educator with VIT registration or eligibility to obtain it.
• Fluent in French and able to teach at primary level.
• Passionate about nurturing young learners and promoting cultural awareness.
• Team‑player who thrives in a collaborative, purpose‑driven environment.

Required skills

• French language proficiency (speaking, listening, reading, writing).
• Curriculum planning and lesson design for primary students.
• Assessment and feedback techniques.
