Junior R&D Consultant

About the role

Acclime is seeking a motivated Junior R&D Consultant to join its R&D tax division. This position is ideal for candidates with up to two years of experience in R&D tax incentives who want to develop their expertise in a fast‑growing, client‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients in determining the eligibility of their R&D activities.
• Draft summary reports that describe proposed R&D projects and technical details.
• Conduct regular reviews of clients' R&D activities and related expenditures.
• Prepare and submit official R&D Tax Incentive applications to AusIndustry.
• Liaise with AusIndustry and the Australian Taxation Office as required.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in commerce, accounting, law, engineering, IT, life sciences, mathematics or a related field.
• Experience preparing R&D Tax Incentive documentation and applications.
• High level of computer literacy, especially proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Excellent communication, strong attention to detail, and a diligent work ethic.
• Strong organisational abilities and capacity to manage competing priorities.
• Ability to think laterally, develop creative solutions, and work both independently and as part of a team.
