Junior Litigation & Dispute Resolution Lawyer

About the role

McCullough Robertson is seeking a motivated junior lawyer to join its Litigation and Dispute Resolution team in Brisbane. You will work alongside experienced partners and practitioners, gaining hands‑on exposure to a diverse range of commercial disputes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing commercial litigation matters across sectors such as energy, resources, manufacturing and government.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, statements and other court documents.
• Manage case files, deadlines and correspondence with clients and external counsel.
• Liaise with clients to provide updates and gather information.
• Support partners in developing case strategy and attend hearings where appropriate.

Required profile

• Approximately two years post‑admission experience in a commercial litigation practice.
• Strong foundational litigation skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Analytical mindset and ability to interpret complex legal issues.
• Positive attitude, collaborative team player and eagerness to build long‑term litigation expertise.
