Junior DevOps Engineer

About the role

CORTO is a fast‑growing AI‑driven legal tech company looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to join its Sydney team. You will focus on database operations while also contributing to the design, deployment and optimisation of cloud infrastructure that powers CORTO’s suite of legal productivity tools.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day Amazon RDS tasks, manage performance and support Aurora PostgreSQL, SQL Server and DynamoDB instances.
• Build and deploy AWS resources using CloudFormation templates and CI/CD pipelines (ECS, EC2, S3, CodePipeline, VPC, Security Groups).
• Implement monitoring, alerting and logging solutions to ensure system health and rapid issue resolution.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation of infrastructure, procedures and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with developers, quality engineers and other DevOps team members to foster a culture of shared knowledge.
• Troubleshoot application issues and work with third‑party tools such as Atlassian JIRA/Bitbucket, OpsGenie, Datadog, CrowdStrike and Snyk.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in a technical role such as DevOps, DBA, platform/infrastructure engineering or IT support.
• Familiarity with managing relational and NoSQL databases in AWS.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and support multiple product teams.
