Junior Business Analyst

About the role

This junior position will support the mergers and acquisitions programme of a global corporate, working on a healthy pipeline of deals. The role is heavily transaction‑focused and requires strong analytical and commercial acumen.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in financial and business modelling for potential acquisitions.
• Assist with financial due diligence and prepare presentations for senior management.
• Identify irregular costs, normalise P&L statements and analyse financial, operational and statistical data.
• Research and analyse industry, competitive environment and small‑to‑medium business data.
• Maintain pipeline and workflow documents, and develop information memorandums, due‑diligence checklists and Q&A processes.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to drive beneficial outcomes and coordinate transaction processes.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Business, Commerce, Economics, Accounting or related discipline.
• Experience as a Business Analyst or Financial Analyst.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts, models, accounts and performance measures.
• Well‑developed analytical skills for both qualitative and quantitative analysis.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and experience in business valuation modelling.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications: PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
• Familiarity with Google Mail.
