Junior Acoustic Consultant

About the role

Vipac Engineers & Scientists Ltd is recruiting a junior Acoustic Consultant to join a team of engineering consultants specialising in acoustics. The position suits a graduate or someone with 1 to 3 years' experience and is based in Alexandria, Sydney. Vipac is a multi-disciplinary consultancy providing vibration, acoustics and related services to building, infrastructure, oil & gas, industrial, mining and commercial clients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform acoustic analysis, modelling and problem solving on a range of projects
• Carry out field work using the firm's equipment
• Prepare acoustic reports for external clients, meeting technical and budgetary requirements

Required profile

• Degree or postgraduate qualification in audio engineering, mechanical engineering or a similar science
• Experience in acoustics is seen favourably
• Eagerness to learn and willingness to travel for field work and flexible working hours
• Team player who can work independently when required

Required skills

• Competent report writing
• Strong communication skills
