IT Systems Administrator – Microsoft 365 & Linux (NV1 Cleared)

About the role

We are a fast‑growing technology organisation seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to own and enhance our ICT environment. Based in Adelaide, you will work autonomously in a scale‑up, security‑focused setting, ensuring reliability, security and continuous improvement across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft 365 suite, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint and Teams.
• Manage Ubuntu Linux servers and Proxmox virtualisation infrastructure.
• Support networking components, VPNs, firewalls, backups and disaster‑recovery processes.
• Administer Mimecast and enforce security access controls.
• Provide end‑user support and oversee hardware lifecycle activities.
• Assist compliance with the Essential Eight, DISPE and internal security standards.
• Identify and implement automation, standardisation and continuous‑improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Strong experience administering Microsoft 365 environments.
• Proven Linux/Unix administration skills, preferably Ubuntu.
• Hands‑on experience with Proxmox or similar virtualisation platforms.
• Solid background in networking, VPNs, firewalls and backup solutions.
• Good understanding of cyber‑security principles, access management and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent troubleshooting abilities and capacity to work independently.
