IT Support Officer

About the role

Signal Brands Australia is looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Officer to join its Head Office team. You will provide first‑level technical assistance to retail stores and corporate staff across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring that all devices and systems run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑level support for hardware, software, networking and user‑access issues in stores and the Head Office.
• Monitor, log and resolve IT support tickets while maintaining high customer service standards.
• Troubleshoot and maintain POS systems, EFTPOS terminals, printers and other retail technology.
• Configure, deploy and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices and peripheral equipment.
• Assist users with Microsoft 365 applications, email and cloud‑based services.
• Maintain accurate records of IT assets and support activities.
• Support software deployments, system upgrades and IT improvement projects.
• Promote IT security best practices and provide basic user training.
• Escalate complex issues to senior team members or external vendors.
• Travel to retail locations locally and interstate as required.

Required profile

• Qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in an IT support or help‑desk environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities with a customer‑focused approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies.
