IT Support Officer – Alice Springs

About the role
The MacDonnell Regional Council is seeking an IT Support Officer to join its Information Services & Infrastructure team in Alice Springs. You will be the first point of contact for staff needing technical assistance and will help maintain a reliable ICT environment across the council.
Key responsibilities
- Provide IT training, support and records‑management assistance to staff as required.
- Diagnose, investigate and resolve desktop hardware and software faults.
- Communicate IT issues and solutions clearly to end‑users.
- Monitor delivery of ICT services and offer feedback for continuous improvement.
Required profile
- Proven experience as an ICT Support Officer or similar technical support role.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse, culturally rich environment.
- Valid Australian working rights (citizenship, permanent residency or appropriate visa).

- Desktop hardware troubleshooting
- Software troubleshooting
