IT Support Engineer – Onsite (Sydney)

About the role

AVASO Technology is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join its Site Technology Servicing team in Sydney. You will be the primary point of contact for onsite technical support, ensuring smooth operation of desktops, laptops, servers, and network devices for all users.

Key responsibilities

• Provide onsite desktop, laptop, and office IT support, including smart‑hand assistance for network and servers.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot software on end‑user systems and servers.
• Onboard new users, prepare IT assets, and manage off‑boarding, asset collection, and sanitisation.
• Deliver executive/VIP support and coordinate remote assistance with backend teams.
• Support IP phones, video‑conference equipment, Level 1 multifunction printers, and VPN connections.
• Handle tickets in ServiceNow (or similar) and maintain SLA, CSAT, and incident backlog metrics.
• Manage IT asset inventory, vendor coordination, and e‑waste disposal.
• Lead project support activities, provide technical guidance to site technicians, and contribute to SOPs and runbooks.

Required profile

• 5+ years of corporate IT support experience with increasing responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7/10 operating systems and remote access tools.
• Proficiency with ServiceNow or comparable ticketing platforms.
• Solid understanding of Active Directory and Microsoft server technologies.
• Experience working in plant or similar environments is advantageous.
