IT Support Engineer

About the role

Metcash is seeking an enthusiastic, customer‑focused IT Support Engineer to join its team in Port Melbourne, transitioning to Heatherton in late 2026. The role provides Level 1 and Level 2 technical support across store and corporate networks, covering a broad range of technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Level 1 and Level 2 IT support to store and corporate users.
• Support Microsoft 365 and Windows 10/11 environments.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network and user access issues.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and identity via Microsoft Entra (Azure AD).
• Provide remote support across multiple locations.
• Provision, configure and deploy laptops, desktops and mobile devices.
• Support ERP systems, including Pronto, as required.
• Log, track and resolve incidents using the service management platform.
• Assist with IT projects, upgrades and system improvements.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years’ experience in a Service Desk or IT Support environment.
• Strong customer‑first attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Problem‑solving mindset with a passion for technology.

Required skills

• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Entra (Azure AD).
• Experience providing remote technical support.
• Familiarity with Pronto ERP (highly regarded).
