IT Support Engineer – First & Second Level Support

About the role

Architectus is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join its Service Desk team. You will be the first point of contact for users, handling first‑ and second‑level incidents across a range of hardware, software and network environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first and second level support for all IT‑related issues, including troubleshooting hardware, software and network problems.
• Install, configure and maintain computers, peripherals and software applications.
• Monitor, triage and resolve support tickets promptly, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
• Set up new user accounts and equipment, and assist with onboarding.
• Collaborate with the wider IT team to keep systems secure, efficient and up‑to‑date.
• Participate in IT projects, document resolutions and maintain accurate support records.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of support processes and procedures.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar IT support role.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software and networking systems.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, meet tight deadlines and handle unexpected workflow demands.
