IT Service Desk & Support Technician

About the role

The Royal Flying Doctor Service SA/NT is seeking an IT Service Desk and Support Technician to deliver customer‑focused IT services to staff across remote and regional locations. You will join a collaborative team, providing in‑person, phone and remote support while maintaining network, equipment and software.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely service‑desk support for IT issues to employees at multiple sites.
• Log, troubleshoot and resolve support tickets, document outcomes and escalate when necessary.
• Maintain computers, networks and other IT resources efficiently and cost‑effectively.
• Manage telecommunications devices, printers, copiers and end‑user equipment to minimise downtime.
• Support regional IT champions during site visits and assist with equipment deployment.

Required profile

• Customer‑focused with strong communication, organisation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, adaptable and able to prioritise tasks.
• Certificate or Diploma level qualification in Computer or Information Technology.
• At least 1 year of experience in IT support, including network services, Windows/iOS devices and remote desktop in a WAN environment.
• Experience with hardware installation, basic fault‑finding and managing small IT projects.
