IT Sales Specialist

About the role

This role is for an IT sales specialist who manages and grows existing client accounts while also engaging qualified leads provided by the Business Development and Marketing team. The position involves product demonstrations, negotiations and closing deals, and achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow existing client accounts by ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
• Engage with qualified leads provided by the Business Development/Marketing team.
• Conduct product demonstrations, presentations and solution discussions with prospective clients.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts and terms to close deals.
• Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and maintain CRM records.
• Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor offerings and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Proven track record in IT sales (software, hardware or services).
• Good experience in international sales; hands-on experience in offshore staffing sales is important.
• Experience managing the full sales cycle from proposal to closure.
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, IT or a related field.
• 5+ years in sales.

Required skills

• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Ability to understand technical concepts and explain them to non-technical clients.
• Preferred: exposure to enterprise solutions such as ERP, CRM, cloud and cybersecurity, an existing IT client network, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
