IT Field Engineer – Onsite Computer Room Audit

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Field Engineer to join an urgent dispatch assignment. The successful candidate will travel to a client site to perform a comprehensive audit of the computer room, documenting the existing IT infrastructure and producing an updated hardware overview.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct an onsite Computer Room Audit (reference SC1079458).
• Inspect server racks, communication cabinets, network hardware and related infrastructure in detail.
• Prepare an updated hardware overview report covering all installed equipment.
• Ensure accurate documentation of the current state of the IT environment.
• Coordinate with remote support teams when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in IT field support or data‑center environments.
• Strong knowledge of networking and server infrastructure.
• Ability to perform hardware audits and produce clear documentation.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Immediate availability for onsite deployment.
