IT Field Engineer – ANZ

About the role

Palo Alto Networks is seeking an enthusiastic IT Field Engineer to join its Melbourne infrastructure team. The role provides first‑line IT and AV support for users across Australia, New Zealand and remote JAPAC locations, while offering a hands‑on learning environment alongside senior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on‑site and remote troubleshooting for hardware, software and AV equipment.
• Procure, install, repair, maintain and upgrade IT and AV products following standard operating procedures.
• Apply company policies to resolve routine technical issues and document actions in runbooks.
• Collaborate with senior Windows, Linux, VMware, SQL and Storage specialists to support critical infrastructure.
• Assist with project tasks under guidance, contributing to automation and operational improvements.

• Strong interest in IT operations, automation and learning new technologies.
• Customer‑focused mindset with the ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to work in an office‑based environment.
