IT Coordinator

About the role

Morson Edge, recruiting on behalf of Nordex, is looking for an IT Support Coordinator in Melbourne. The role determines, develops and implements the organisation's information technology goals, reviews and fills internal help requests and monitors computer performance. It sits in the IT Support Team alongside other IT Support Analysts and reports to the Managing Director of the Country.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with administrative matters and provide technical support for local business.
• Support and implement policies, procedures and processes.
• Monitor the helpdesk and IT phone line for service requests, and manage ticket assignment, documentation, escalation, prioritisation and resolution.
• Verify helpdesk responses for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide desktop support, including hardware and software support, troubleshooting, upgrades and local network connectivity.
• Support conference equipment, printers, Android, iOS and other peripherals.
• Maintain documentation of sites, equipment, software, processes and procedures.
• Act as Deputy Information Officer and Deputy Security Officer.

Required profile

• Around 2 years' experience in IT support, coordination, helpdesk or service desk environments.
• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business/Management with an IT focus, or a related discipline.
• Strong customer service, communication and stakeholder management skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality and data security.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of IT systems, hardware, software and connectivity, with troubleshooting experience.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and basic IT documentation.
• Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft Fundamentals (Azure/Microsoft 365) are advantageous but not essential.
