Internal Audit Officer

About the role

Join Canon Australia's Internal Audit team to strengthen corporate governance and support operational excellence. You will focus on SOX compliance, reviewing internal control systems, and contributing to audits across operations, subsidiaries, and ERP projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support the formulation and execution of the annual audit plan under supervision.
• Execute components of the annual SOX audit plan and identify gaps to SOX requirements.
• Perform SOX walkthroughs, document control design, and test SOX controls.
• Prepare audit working papers, process maps, and related documentation.
• Conduct compliance and subsidiary audits as scheduled.
• Support ERP‑related SOX and control activities.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified CA (or equivalent) with experience in audit, finance or accounting (Big 4 experience valued).
• Strong written communication and documentation capability.
• High awareness of internal controls and risk.
• Detail‑oriented, able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
