Intern Pharmacist – 12‑Month Rotational Program

About the role

The Pharmacy Intern Program with Northern Sydney Local Health District offers a 12‑month, full‑time, supervised placement across Royal North Shore and Ryde Hospitals. You will work alongside senior pharmacists and educators in a culture that values clinical excellence, innovation, and research.

Key responsibilities

• Rotate through clinical, dispensing, medicines information and production areas in both hospitals.
• Provide safe and effective medication dispensing and support to multidisciplinary teams.
• Deliver medicines information to patients, carers and health professionals.
• Participate in education, quality‑improvement projects, research activities and professional development.
• Complete all requirements of the accredited Intern Training Program.

Required profile

• Pharmacy graduate eligible for unregistered pharmacist registration.
• Willingness to work full‑time (38 hours/week) for a 12‑month term.
• Commitment to rotate between Royal North Shore and Ryde Hospitals.
• Strong interest in clinical pharmacy and patient‑centred care.
