Intermediate to Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

Moore Australia is expanding its Governance and Risk Advisory practice and is looking for an Intermediate to Senior Internal Auditor. The role works autonomously, providing high‑level support on governance, risk management, internal audit, quality assurance and best‑practice advice to a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multiple client engagements, supervise staff and manage budgets, quality and timeliness of deliverables.
• Conduct face‑to‑face or remote meetings with clients to understand their processes.
• Review and analyse client business processes and documentation to recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and advise on best‑practice approaches.
• Prepare detailed audit reports for presentation to Boards and Audit Committees.
• Assist in preparing client proposals and delivering workshops.
• Identify business development opportunities for the team and the firm.

Required profile

• Preferably holds a tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting, IT or Business Management (not mandatory).
• Minimum two to three years of experience in a similar internal audit or risk‑management role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound judgement and analytical ability.
• Current national police clearance (within six months), Australian working rights and willingness to travel to client locations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel.
• Competence with Microsoft Office applications.
