Intermediate Accountant

About the role

This position offers an Intermediate Accountant the chance to work directly with an experienced Partner in a well‑established Brisbane accounting firm. You will gain exposure to tax planning, business advisory and complex client matters while mentoring an offshore team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, income tax returns and complex BAS/IAS for a diverse client portfolio.
• Review and mentor work produced by offshore accountants, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Deliver tax planning, business advisory and ad‑hoc accounting advice to clients.
• Manage workflow to meet deadlines and client expectations.

Required profile

• Current Australian public practice experience with strong technical knowledge of financial statements, tax returns and activity statements.
• CA or CPA qualified, or currently studying, with a proactive approach to client service.
• Experience reviewing work or mentoring junior team members, or a desire to step into this responsibility.
