Intermediate Accountant

About the role

We are a well‑established accounting and business advisory firm located near the waterfront in Redcliffe, Brisbane. As an Intermediate Accountant you will work closely with senior management to deliver high‑quality accounting, taxation and advisory services to a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
• Assist clients with tax planning and complex tax matters, including Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) and Capital Gains Tax (CGT).
• Manage ATO, client and internal deadlines to ensure timely compliance.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, responding to day‑to‑day queries.
• Identify value‑adding opportunities and contribute to improvements in systems and processes.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience in business services or public practice.
• Tertiary qualification in accounting; CPA or CA qualification (or currently studying) preferred.
• Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge.
• Excellent communication, organisational and time‑management abilities.
• High attention to detail, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
