Inspection & Testing Technician

About the role

Join Equans ANZ’s growing Western Australian fire and mechanical team as an Inspection & Testing Technician. You will be responsible for the servicing, inspection and testing of a wide range of fire protection equipment, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and customer contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Survey customer premises and recommend fire protection and safety systems in line with Equans procedures and Australian Standards.
• Identify, inspect and test fire panels, EWIS, fire alarm systems, emergency exit lighting, portable extinguishers, hydrants, hose reels and fire doors.
• Complete maintenance records accurately using logbooks and associated documentation.
• Plan routes, manage time and stock to maximise efficiency of service delivery.
• Maintain company property, tools and equipment; handle administrative tasks such as call reports and timesheets.
• Participate in on‑call roster, address customer concerns promptly and comply with all contractual requirements.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental policies, report hazards and attend required training.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently on customer sites across Western Australia.
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance with HSE legislation.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call duties and continuous training.
• Good organisational and time‑management skills for route and stock planning.
