Injury Prevention & Health Specialist

About the role

Veolia Environmental Services is hiring a permanent full-time Injury Prevention & Health Specialist for its NSW business, working within a broader national team. The role supports injured employees returning to work and gives health and hygiene compliance advice to operational management, while running injury prevention, physical and mental health programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist injured employees in returning to work, working with internal operational teams and the Veolia self-insurance team
• Work with external clients and labour hire organisations so that injuries are managed and employees return to suitable duties plans
• Manage the NSW workers compensation portfolio
• Design, coordinate and implement injury prevention and wellbeing strategies based on health risk factor reduction
• Review quality of risk-based pre-employment and periodic medical assessments
• Identify and report on key employee health and wellbeing risk factors

Required profile

• Extensive industry experience in a similar position
• Comprehensive knowledge of workers compensation legislation
• Desired: formal Return to Work Coordinator (RTW) qualification
• Desired: graduate qualification in a health-related field such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, exercise science, health management or nursing
