Information Technology Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Information Technology Infrastructure Engineer to join our Melbourne team. The position is hybrid, allowing you to work from home part of the week while supporting critical on‑premises and data‑centre environments.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Dell VxRail clusters and Dell VPC infrastructure.
• Plan, execute and validate migrations from VMware to Microsoft Hyper‑V.
• Provide day‑to‑day support for physical and virtual servers, including rack‑and‑stack, networking and storage operations.
• Manage Windows Server patching, compliance baselines and system stability.
• Perform backup, recovery, monitoring, performance tuning and incident response activities.
• Produce and maintain documentation and change‑management records.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or Infrastructure Engineer in on‑premises and data‑centre settings.
• Hands‑on expertise with VxRail, Dell VPC and Hyper‑V environments.
• Demonstrated ability to migrate workloads from VMware to Hyper‑V, including assessment, planning and cut‑over.
• Strong background in Windows Server administration and patch management.
