Industry Controller - Cotton (Finance Business Partner)

About the role

Louis Dreyfus Company is looking for an Industry Controller to join its Cotton platform in Brisbane, Queensland. Working closely with the Senior Industry Controller, you will own management accounting, budgeting and forecasting, fixed assets, stock control and finance systems. Candidates must be Australian citizens or have the right to live and work in the location.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver accurate and timely monthly management financials to support the Senior Industry Controller.
• Manage accounting impacts of asset procurement and divestment, including the Fixed Asset Register, depreciation schedules and consolidation tool updates.
• Analyse P&L, volumes, revenue and production cost drivers for internal stakeholders.
• Handle industry-related queries during annual audits.
• Prepare and review the annual budget with the Financial Controller for Ginning, Warehousing and Industry Corporate.
• Support monthly forecasts, tracking volumes and KPIs for management and executive reporting.
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register with full general ledger reconciliation.
• Support capex application analysis, prepare monthly capex reports and quarterly fixed asset registers for tax-effective accounting.
• Oversee the integrity of finance data in Cotton front office and operating systems, support system development projects and business-as-usual finance processes.

Required profile

• 3+ years of finance experience (industry experience preferred).
• Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting.
• CPA or ICAA qualified, or equivalent professional membership.
• English language proficiency required.

• Management reporting, variance analysis, GL posting, accruals and reconciliations.
• Australian Accounting Standards.
• Budgeting, forecasting, procure-to-pay and invoicing.
