In-Field Mentor – 12‑month Fixed‑Term (Remote, Australia)

About the role

The Missionary Department seeks an In‑Field Mentor to support returned missionaries in Australia on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis. Working remotely 20 hours per week, you will guide in‑field missionaries through a structured 12‑week development program covering language, doctrine, and missionary skills.

Key responsibilities

• Provide instruction, counsel, and feedback on gospel doctrine, missionary purpose, teaching techniques, technology use, goal‑setting, and resilience.
• Deliver training through one‑on‑one coaching, small‑group facilitation, large‑group workshops, and monitor participation on Canvas LMS.
• Assist In‑Field Area leadership in coordinating with mission and departmental leaders as needed.
• Implement guidance from the In‑Field Training Supervisor, Manager of Training, and Director of In‑Field Training.
• Report progress and needs of assigned missionaries to leadership.

Required profile

• Returned missionary who has been home for no more than three years.
• Ability to conduct mentoring sessions from a laptop or desktop computer.
• Outstanding coaching, facilitation, and training abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, prioritizing, professionalism, and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of the Preach My Gospel curriculum.
• Self‑motivated, receptive to feedback, and able to work 20 hours per week.
• Preferred experience in MTC classroom teaching or tutoring and online interaction (chat, video conference).
• Quiet work environment, stable internet connection, and personal phone for regular contact.
