Immigration Lawyer / Associate

About the role

Fragomen is seeking an experienced Immigration Lawyer/Associate to join its Sydney team. You will provide legal immigration advice, manage a caseload independently, and support senior team members on complex matters.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver accurate immigration advice to a diverse client base, ranging from individuals to multinational corporations.
• Manage and progress immigration cases from intake through to resolution.
• Assist senior lawyers on highly technical immigration issues.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Australian immigration law, regulations, and policy.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of post‑admission experience, preferably in corporate immigration or non‑employer‑sponsored matters.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Client‑focused mindset with the ability to understand and solve client challenges.

Required skills

• Sound working knowledge of Australian immigration law, regulations and policy.
• Proficiency with immigration case management systems and related technology.
