Identity Architect – Enterprise IAM & PAM (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Identity Architect to lead the design and governance of enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions across a large, complex organisation. This contract position offers the opportunity to shape strategic direction, provide technical leadership, and engage with senior stakeholders to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant access to systems and data.

Key responsibilities

• Lead enterprise identity architecture and act as the design authority for IAM and PAM capabilities.
• Define target‑state architectures, standards, and patterns to ensure consistency across platforms.
• Provide governance and design assurance across projects, vendors, and internal teams.
• Translate complex identity concepts into clear, defensible architectural decisions.
• Influence stakeholders across security, application, and business domains.
• Develop and align identity roadmaps with broader cyber and organisational strategies.
• Mentor internal teams, building capability and reducing reliance on external vendors.

Required profile

• Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise IAM solutions.
• Proven ability to act as an architecture authority in complex environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience aligning identity strategies with security and business objectives.
• Ability to work effectively in hybrid and distributed teams.

What we offer

• Contract length: Initial 12 months with a 12‑month extension option.
• Flexible location across ACT, NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, WA, TAS and NT.
• Hybrid working arrangement (mix of onsite and remote).
• Up to 150 hours per month.
• Security requirement: NV1 clearance.
