ICT Support Engineer – Level 1

About the role

Reporting to the Team Leader, IT Security and Infrastructure, you will join a small, dynamic team delivering IT technical support across the business on a national scale. The role is ideal for a service‑oriented professional who remains composed, patient, and able to handle multiple enquiries efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level technical support to end‑users, troubleshooting hardware, software, network connectivity and email issues.
• Install and configure computer hardware, software, servers, networks, printers and scanners.
• Respond promptly to service requests and incidents, ensuring timely resolution.
• Test new technologies and deliver user training.
• Participate in the active implementation of new IT solutions and services.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification (e.g., diploma or degree in IT) plus at least 3 years of related experience.
• Understanding of security practices for handling and disposing of classified data, documents and devices.
• Experience with change management, user adoption, and basic project management.
• Strong written communication skills for proposals, reports and documentation.
• Commitment to ongoing technical and behavioural development.
