ICT Category & Contracts Specialist

About the role

A leading organisation is looking for an experienced Senior Category & Contracts Manager to drive strategic procurement and supplier management across a broad ICT portfolio. The role covers managed services, professional and project services, software licensing, hardware and technology infrastructure, and cloud and digital services. It is a 12-month contract based in Perth, with a hybrid arrangement of three days in the office and two days working from home.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing, procurement and category management initiatives across ICT spend categories.
• Develop and execute category strategies that drive value, cost efficiencies and improved service outcomes.
• Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including tenders, contract negotiations and supplier selection.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring performance, compliance and continuous improvement.
• Provide commercial advice and business partnering support to key stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to mitigate risk, improve governance and strengthen contract management.
• Monitor market trends and supplier capabilities to inform procurement decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, contracts or commercial management.
• Experience across ICT categories such as software, hardware, managed services, telecommunications, cloud or professional services.
• Demonstrated success negotiating and managing high-value, complex contracts.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.

Required skills

• Sound understanding of supplier governance, risk management and contract frameworks.
• Excellent commercial acumen, balancing business needs, market capability and long-term value.
