HVAC Product Manager – Airside

About the role

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Product Manager – Airside to lead product strategy and portfolio execution for the Australian and New Zealand markets. You will work closely with sales, engineering, manufacturing, sourcing and external suppliers to shape product direction, support launches and improve margins.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement product line strategies for the Airside HVAC portfolio.
• Drive market expansion, profitability and portfolio growth opportunities.
• Lead new product introductions, launches and cost‑out initiatives.
• Conduct market research, analyse competition and track customer trends.
• Build product roadmaps, monitor performance and present strategic updates.
• Support pricing strategy and margin optimisation across assigned products.
• Provide sales training, product positioning and market support to commercial teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, business, marketing or related field.
• 7+ years experience in HVAC product management, product marketing or product/program management.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC markets, including fan coil units, close‑control/IT cooling, air handling units, fan wall units, computer‑room air handling units and integrated controls.
• Experience working with HVAC suppliers and understanding product specifications.
• Proven ability to analyse market data, competition, product performance and pricing opportunities.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of fan coil units, close‑control/IT cooling, air handling units, fan wall units, computer‑room air handling units and integrated controls.
• Experience with Microsoft Suite for analysis, reporting and presentations.
