Human Resources Officer – Project Support

About the role

The Human Resources Officer will support the HR Advisory Team on the Snowy 2.0 project, helping to maintain a positive work environment across the construction site. This role focuses on accurate HR administration, employee record keeping, and assisting with project‑specific HR processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain employee records and databases with strict confidentiality.
• Process HR documentation such as contracts, change‑of‑condition forms, and correspondence.
• Take minutes during investigations, disciplinary and performance‑management meetings.
• Assist in implementing the project culture framework and updating position descriptions.
• Identify emerging workplace issues and help develop risk‑mitigation strategies.
• Support managers with counselling, conflict resolution, probation, return‑to‑work and performance evaluations.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management, Employment Relations, Organisational Psychology or related field (or currently completing studies).
• Proven experience in HR administration and operations.
• Knowledge of the Fair Work Act and HR/IR systems.
• Strong initiative, collaborative mindset and excellent written and verbal communication.
• High attention to detail and well‑developed time‑management skills.
